Teen Critically Injured, Two Others Wounded, In Long Island Shooting

Police on Long Island are investigating an assault that left three people with gunshot wounds, with one in critical condition.

The incident took place around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, in Baldwin, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, First Precinct officers responded to the intersection of Edna Court and Haig Street for a call for shots fired. 

When they arrived on the scene officers located a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to his torso, police said.

The victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, where he is in stable condition. 

An investigation determined that two more victims were involved in this incident and were transported to a local hospital prior to police arrival. 

The second victim, a 21-year-old man, had a gunshot wound to his arm and is in stable condition. 

The third victim, a 20- year-old man, had a gunshot wound to his abdomen and is currently in critical condition. 

The investigation is ongoing.
